WhatsApp to Introduce Message Scheduling Feature for All Users
WhatsApp Is Working on Scheduled Messages
WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will let users schedule messages directly inside the app. This feature was spotted in the latest beta update for iOS (version 26.7.10.72) available through TestFlight.
Right now, businesses can schedule marketing messages using Business Broadcasts (previously called Marketing Messages). These tools allow companies to send promotions, offers, and announcements at a specific time. Now, WhatsApp plans to bring a similar scheduling feature to regular users — and it will be free.

How the Scheduled Messages Feature Will Work
The new feature will allow users to:
Type a message
Choose a specific date and time
Automatically send the message when the time arrives
Once scheduled, the message will stay queued until the selected time. When that time comes, the message will be delivered automatically — no further action needed.
This feature will work in:
✅ Individual chats
✅ Group chats
There is no confirmation yet about support for Channels.
Easy Management of Scheduled Messages
WhatsApp will add a dedicated section inside the chat info screen where users can:
View all scheduled messages
See how many messages are pending
Delete any scheduled message before it is sent
If a scheduled message is deleted, the recipient will not receive any notification. Since the message is removed before delivery, there will be no indication it was ever scheduled.

When Will It Be Available?
The scheduled messages feature is still under development. Once ready, it will first roll out to beta testers. After testing and feedback, it will likely be released to all users in a future update.
WhatsApp continues to improve how people communicate — and this upcoming feature will give users more control over when their messages are sent.
